This cake I made for my wonderful Father in Law. He also is a hunter, so I made him a Moosie cake. So fun, so tasty!!

Some of my creations

This was my husband's birthday cake. He is a hunter, so I created a forest scene with a river, trees hand made by me using royal icing, adding a moose and cariboo for a little added touch. Covered in Buttercream

This was a cake I was hired to do for a wedding shower. Simple roses and hearts completed this creation.

A 24th birthday cake with handmade gerber daisies on the top, with handmade leafs going from top down the sides.
This 8 inch round cake is covered in fondant with chocolate cake underneath filled with Vanilla pudding

This wonderful colorful cake was for my friend's beautiful little girl's first birthday. The size of this was 12in x 18in x 2 in deep

And we begin :)

So I have decided to step out in faith and start a blog for my cake decorating. I've been avoiding doing so for a while now, much to the disagreance of my friends and family, who have been encouraging me for a while now to "advertise" my cake decorating skills.

In this blog you will find photos and information of my cakes and skills.

a little about me...

I am a stay at home mom to 4 fantastic children. My husband, Adam, is an Aircraft Mechanic, who until recently, was working up in Yellowknife on a rotational basis (usually a few weeks at a time). Well, we were so blessed when he was offered a position here in Alberta where we live! Once he was home, it gave me the ability to do something I've wanted to do for so long... take cake decorating courses!!!! It turns out, I ADORE it!!! My children love nothing more than a home made cake from mommy, decorated especially for them with love by me. Even my darling husband enjoyed looking at (and eating!) his birthday cake this year! Even though I am just beginning as a cake decorator, I try to suit cakes to the personality of those receiving them, and I look so forward to making more and going out of my comfort zone to create wonderful looking and delicious cakes for many to enjoy.

Thank you for visiting and feel free to leave comments :)
